Darren Myher
V.P. Operations and CTO
Darren is a customer focused individual with a talent for quickly understanding how businesses work, identifying competitive advantages, and translating that understanding into software designs that support those advantages. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, is an entrepreneur in his own right, owning a computer hardware and software resale business and a photography business, and holds a number of Microsoft Certifications.
As an undergrad at Wilfrid Laurier, Darren spent much of his time focused on building the innovative student run IT group: PRISM. During his time with PRISM, Darren worked in purchasing, operations, management and other leading roles, major accomplishments during that time included taking over antiquated computer labs from the university, modernized them, and developing an education and certification program to deliver training on the Microsoft software that businesses use in the real worlds, but weren’t being covered by the university itself.
Darren has worked at Microsoft in the Education and Certification department, and created the first marketing web site for Oracle Canada.
Prior to joining Blue Link Darren worked for a Blue Link reseller that provided a complete set of services including computer hardware, networking, IT Management and business software solutions.
At Blue Link Darren holds the roles of VP Operations and CTO. Darren works directly with customers on architecting software solutions that support their business operations, is involved in product architecture and design and works to make sure everything exceeds the expectations of our customers. He has worked directly with hundreds of distribution and service company owners to help them build their businesses using Blue Link software.
Darren consistently raises the bar at Blue Link, with his unusual mix of business, software development and technical skills, and an extremely customer-focused outlook. Darren is one of the very few extremely technical people out there who understands how businesses work and is always able to place the customer's needs first.
