Helping Habitat for Humanity Build Homes for Families in Need
Toronto (Concord), ON., July 5, 2002 - Blue Link Associates Ltd., a market leading business and accounting software developer in Canada, has donated a version of their popular business and accounting software package, Blue Link Solutions, to Toronto's non-profit organization Habitat for Humanity. The software will allow Habitat for Humanity to focus their resources on building homes for families in need, while streamlining their accounting and administration processes. The overall cost savings will help the organization to increase their building capacity to approximately 35 homes in 2003.
Blue Link Solutions Professional automates routine administration
and accounting activities, and simplifies processes such as materials
purchasing. This results in increased productivity with limited resources.
Blue Link has also committed to providing Habitat with ongoing training,
support and consultation to ensure that the organization's total focus
remains on building houses.
"Habitat is very excited about our partnership with
Blue Link," said Neil Hetherington, Executive Director of Metro Toronto
Habitat for Humanity Inc. "Their software will see our financial
efficiencies move ahead of the pack, enabling us to build more homes,
and move families out of poverty housing."
"We are proud to be helping Habitat's cause," commented Mark Canes, President of Blue Link Associates Ltd. "With over 50 Canadian affiliates, 50 in all U.S. states and more than 60 countries around the world, Habitat for Humanity is a serious organization committed to elimination of poverty worldwide and we are happy to contribute to achieving their goal."
